Portrait of an energetic industrialist

Luc Poyer is a graduate of the ESSEC business school; he also studied at the French national school of administration (ENA).  He has gained two-fold strategic and operational experience first at the French national audit office, then in industry all over the world.

He began his career at the French national audit office as a general auditor, and moved on to a post as a public accounts auditor, heading missions to check on industrial groups.  In 1998 he joined the Total Group, where he had operational responsibilities in various branches – refining and distribution, gas and electricity, exploration and production.  From 2001 to 2005, he was Managing Director of the GasAndes trans-Andes network of gas pipelines (Chile), and then in charge of the Qatargas II liquefied natural gas project (Middle East).  In 2006, he returned to France to launch and manage the industrial activities sector of Poweo (electricity generation, gas, renewable energies and innovation).  He was Chairman of Poweo Production and Delegated Managing Director of the group until 2008.

Luc Poyer is 42 years old; he is married, and has four children.  He is both Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON France, the umbrella company for E.ON Energies S.A.S., Snet and E.ON Energies Renouvelables, and Chief Executive Officer of Snet.  Both share their strong governance and their ambition to make a mark on the French energy market.
